The tourists were probably on a Mediterranean cruise from Italy with Tunis as a day trip. The main attraction there is the ruins of Carthage and the historical artifacts from that period in the museum.

If ISIS types ever take over in north Africa, say goodbye to these historic sites, and to the Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Luxor temple. Unfortunate tourists wanted to see them before they’re bulldozed.

The Dark Ages are returning to the Middle East, making even the Vandals look civilized in comparison.

I didn’t even consider the territory that the cruise ships can take in. Good reason to stick with the Viking River cruises, I guess. At least pick the countries a bit more careful...

What a horrible thought that the many historic sites in the ME will be in danger. ISIS needs to be pounded into the ground before that can take place...the sooner, the better. Who has the guts to do it? I’m nearly of the opinion if the holocaust had been filmed and we’d had TV in the day and the leaders of countries now in power would have sat by and waited for their turn at the mic to give their opinion and let it go on!

Tragic for everyone and everything in the path of these barbarians...some call savages but there just doesn’t seem to be a fitting word for what they truly are!
