Today the Strafford County Republican Committee held a meet and greet featuring Senator Ted Cruz. It was Chili and Chat with a chance to meet Cruz. They originally expected about 50-70 people but so many people showed up they had to move to a much larger room. There were around 200 people for what turned out to be a standing-room-only event.
To put this into a little perspective, when Hillary Clinton came to an event during the height of election season after not being in New Hampshire for several years that included Shaheen and Hassan, only around 500 people showed up. This was touted as a huge event by the New Hampshire Democrats to get out the vote. The Strafford County Republican Committee put on a small local event and had more than three times as many people show up as planned.
The key thing to note is there were not only Republicans in attendance. There were also many Independents. There were people of all ages including families with young children. Granite Grok was recording live and had a brief interview with Cruz after his speech and questions. Cruzs team had to move him along several times due to time constraints because so many kept wanting to talk with him.
Cruz was also pressed about declaring his run for President but he wont do it yet. An audience member even presented him with a blank check to use for his campaign (even stating he had his wifes permission to laughs from the crowd). It was a candid moment and unexpected. Cruz handed the check back and commented that you wont see many politicians do that.
Granite Staters are politically weary. Not only were they lied to about the supposed recovery

God bless him and may the flood begin like this....
This is a marathon, not a sprint.
Meanwhile, Walker was hanging out with Obama and making hateful jokes about Guiliani.
Cruz or lose!
We have to start pressing our friends, family and neighbors. Now!
I questioned my golf foursome yesterday. They’re run of the mill Republicans (minimum requirment to be in my foursome) and they said “Rand Paul, Rubio, Bush?” No one mentioned Cruz! So when I lectured them about the asinine RINO Ness of that triumvirate they got their initial introduction to Senator Ted Cruz, the next President of the United States!!!
Jokes about Giuliani?
I really do have a lot of close friends who are Democrats, said Walker, serving as the official Republican speaker for the evening. I even have Hillarys private e-mail . . . Its HillaryClinton@Wallstreet.com. You know the best part of that joke, Elizabeth Warren wrote it for me.
Small things, when repeated, lead to big things. Good to see a good turnout for the best potential candidate in the Republican Party.
Obama joins in jokefest with GOP’s Walker at Gridiron dinner

Walker got in his own digs. I believe that the president of the United States loves America and every American except Rudy Giuliani.
Ouch

Can’t be lookin’ like a racist, can we?
I would have pinged him but I’d like to go one day without being called a LIAR who contorts things out of context.
I am a Cruz guy, 100%. But, had Cruz done this, I would have dropped him in a heartbeat.
Jeez, what is your problem? Everybody knows Walker was in New Hampshire too. With a bigger audience.

So the big boys like Walker go to the gridiron club. He jabbed Guliani, (its a comedic event, get it??!?!?!?) Its a bad thing that Walker is seen doing the ‘players’ thing? Check out the headlines, Walker and Obumbler are on even ground. If Walker hadnt gone you would be criticizing that too.
I like Cruz. I watched the video of his talk. I wish his ideas would take off with Americans but it seems likely that the media has/ is going to Palinize him. Im not going to spend my time throwing rocks at him like you do against Walker constantly.
I believe that the president of the United States loves America and every American except Rudy Giuliani
BTW on second reading is Walker jabbing Giuliani in this one or Obama?
Me, too. Then left the country.
I don’t throw rocks at Walker. I just post what he says. I’m actually kinda distraught that I can in no way support him now... never expected he’d take me here that quick.
”I dont throw rocks at Walker. ”
Meanwhile Walker was hanging out with Obama and making hateful jokes about Guiliani.
Meanwhile, front runner Walker spoke to a prestigious gathering at the same podium as President Obama. His joke about Giuliani subtly reminded listeners of widespread unspoken doubts that the President actually loves the country and its citizens.
FIFY.
He’s still the guy I want go to the prom with. :-)
