Baboons have higher IQs, and a higher sense of honor.

And I’m not kidding.

“Baboons have higher IQs, and a higher sense of honor.”

You got that right. I have seen documentaries on baboon troops, their social order and how they travel. The primary predator is the leopard. They travel somewhat like the old mounted infantry regiments of the Boers. It is called kommando in Afrikanns.

The troop has the young juvenile males as scouts/sentries as they move. Their job is to sound the alarm and harass the leopard as best they can.

The next ring is young males coming into their prime but with some experience. Their job is to engage the leopard and drive it off if they can.

The final ring is the senior bulls. Long on experience and in their prime. If the leopard gets that far their job is to stop it at all costs because the center holds the mothers with their babies and the older members of the troop. Sort of a “This is we stand and this is where it dies” philosophy.

That being said I have far more respect for the baboons than that group of feral Amish.
