I seem to recall seeing a pretty huge revolt against Romney last time, but he still made it across the finish line in fairly strong shape.

Funny thing is, all along Obama had the IRS sabotaging and
suppressing the TEA Party. Romney knew what was going on
and said nor did nothing because it was in his best interest
not to do so. I wonder where Jeb was on that one.
