Yes, Congress has no business commenting on US foreign policy, that's the POTUS turf.
You dont see Obama going over congress's heads with executive orders, because liberals like the NYC Daily News would chastise him for doing so, because they respect the constitution.
“Yes, Congress has no business commenting on US foreign policy, that’s the POTUS turf.”
I don’t think so. If that were the case then why do
treaties have to have Senate approval? Same with war.
The war powers act being what it is, it still has limitations
and eventual congressional approval. I don’t think the
founders of this country took into consideration that at
some point the president would be facilitating arming our
enemies. In this case your are right to a point. They
have no business because they have taken impeachment off
the table. They might as well sit down and shut up.
The constitution is not a suicide pact. It was not meant to
destroy this country. I thing Paul and Cruz has every right
to comment on this clowns foreign policy if it runs contrary
to the benefit of this country.
There are 47 (or maybe 49 now?) signatories, but the four pictured on the Daily News’ “TRAITORS” cover are McConnell, Cruz, Cotton, and Paul.
