The 1A says that GOVERNMENT can't suppress your speech and throw you in jail for saying stupid things the gov't may not like. SAE is a frat, not the gov't. SAE is basically saying, "you are free to spew vile hatred, but you're not going to do it while representing our organization. So you're out." Did SAE national take action because they were personally offended? Or because they don't want the blow-back from both government and leftist university administrations if they fail to treat the frat harshly? Keeping in mind that the idiots on the bus were not the WHOLE frat, and the WHOLE frat is being punished, not just the perps.

Did SAE national take action because they were personally offended? Wouldn't you be offended if someone associated with your organization did that?
Keeping in mind that the idiots on the bus were not the WHOLE frat, and the WHOLE frat is being punished, not just the perps.
Yeah well life isn't fair, and any fraternity that fosters an environment where those actions are tolerated deserves what happens to it.

I can't speculate on the motives of a nationally respected fraternity. All I know is they got it right.
What happened to this chapter is indicative of what happens to so many organizations: the few ruin it for the many.

That racist chant is taught and practiced by all SAE chapters. It is a part of their national legacy.
