Let me put this in perspective and ask you a simple question: You own a company. You plan a company picnic. All your employees get on a bus that you've rented for them and you are all on your way to the picnic. On the way, your employees break out into the chants that these frat guys were yelling. Someone posts this on YouTube and it goes viral. Do you fire them? It's a Yes or No question. Yes, I would fire them. For doing something while associated with me which negatively impacts my business.
Now here's another scenario: somebody wearing your company shirt makes statements against gay marriage, it gets on youtube and goes viral, and your business suffers as a result. Will you be happy with him?

(You don't notice it's a police state until the police come for you.)

No I would not be happy with them. Even if I agreed with their viewpoint. I wear two uniforms, one for each career I have. In both, I am forbidden to give an interview without permission. Wearing a company shirt during an interview implies that you represent the company and its views. That’s a big no-no unless you own the company or you have permission to represent the company in an official capacity.
