Because both countries are dependent upon one another, the $140 billion station would be lost.

Couldn't Russia just keep sending their guys up there. What could we do about it?

If Russia wanted to divert funds to it, they probably could, but right at the moment Russia depends on funds from the USA to keep it going.

It’s like that with the USA, too, in that the USA could probably do the whole thing by itself, but then it would have to start up a whole new program and FUND IT to do so.

Neither Rusdia or the USA wants to fund the ENTIRE THING!

Let's just say that not being able to keep it up wouldn't mean we aren't capable of taking it down.
