I was just getting ready to ask that question in reply to a previous post. Not so much about the drone angle (angel?) but the need for a space station in the first place.

If there is some military use for it, then it was beyond stupid to abandon it. If it's just for giggles or to "find out where we came from" or some other such idiotic quest, then screw it.

One thing I'm sure of, some number of space geeks will provide us with plentiful reason why we should pursue a space station.

So have at it, Poindexters. Convince me.

If having a colony in space is a good idea, why don’t we have colonies in Antarctica (real self sufficient ones) and at the bottom of the oceans?
