It is my understanding that Trey has been very supportive of Lindsey Graham. And that Graham mentions Gowdy as a possible Supreme Court nominee frequently. That is my understanding from SC insiders too. SCOTUS is among several possibilities floating around out there.

I like Gowdy a lot; but that is the epitome of a non-starter right there. Lindsey Graham is one "wide stance" away from the oblivion he deserves.
