GLOBAL WARMING BOOGIEMAN
With the alleged demise of communism (actually the communists simply renamed themselves “progressives” and came here (where most — but not ALL — of them became “democrats”) and elsewhere in Europe and the world), the left needed another “Boogieman” with which frighten the masses so they could be more easily herded into their lusted for and unattainable pseudo-egalitarian and Utopian “New World Order” (where some are “more equal than others”, thank you Mr. Orwell!).
Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) now “Climate Change” drew the short straw!
The alleged “science” behind AGW has been co-opted and corrupted by an unfortunate number of grant money whores in the “academic scientific community” who, failing receipt of that next GOVERNMENT GRANT, would be forced out into the — SHUDDER — PRIVATE SECTOR to get REAL JOBS. They much prefer to continue their taxpayer subsidized NAVAL GAZING in the cloistered comfort of a TENURED POSITION where they have the added benefit of the opportunity to share their leftist doctrine with new generations of future grant money whores. And the cycle repeats!
These grant money whores used to be real scholars who used their time to write in the numerous academic journals that shared their intellectual knowledge around the world. The phrase, “publish or perish,” was the phrase used to describe the need to further one’s career by the merit of what you published. Now, the direct method of trolling for government grant money bypasses the academic route. It bypasses the scrutiny of ones peers and takes advantage of the ignorance of Congress. Lucky this is not at a time when men believed in a flat earth and the earth as the center of the universe.
