I wonder whether the hackers were blackmailing Hillary, and finally for whatever reason she couldn’t afford to pay the money or decided she was toast anyway.

On Monday (the very day of the NYT release of the email info), during an appearance in Santa Clara, Hillary jokingly called herself a "hoarder."
Now, what is it about a hoarder that makes them a hoarder? They don't let go.
Maybe Hillary didn't let go of something one last time too many, and the PTB decided they couldn't trust her as president if she was going to be that completely, totally, out of control.
