Not so different from the weather we had overnight here in the Pittsburgh area . . . and yet we all managed to make it into work.
I don't think you would say that, if you could see the state of the roads here. The DC area doesn't get much snow, so we don't allocate the same kinds of resources to removal as snowier areas do. The roads near me would become a parking lot if people tried to go to work today (and probably tomorrow). Not because we are bad drivers (although most are, just like everywhere else). Just because we don't have the level of preparation as elsewhere, because snow isn't nearly as frequent as a place like Pittsburgh.

I moved to Baltimore about 5 years ago. Every single piddly bit of snow, I hear the same whiny excuse. Here’s an idea, buy some stupid snowplows.
These idiots waste money on everything else, but then, they’d have to take some responsibility and actually keep schools open for a whole week at a time.
