A House investigative committee is preparing to send out subpoenas later Wednesday to gather a deeper look into former secretary of state Hillary Rodham Clinton’s nearly exclusive use of personal e-mails to do her official business as the government’s top diplomat, according to people familiar with the probe.

The House Select Committee on Benghazi, which first discovered Clinton’s use of a personal e-mail based on a home server in its inquiry into a fatal 2012 terrorist attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi, Libya, is asking for all e-mails related to the attack from all Clintonemail.com accounts and any other staff members’ personal accounts.

The subpoenas are expected to go out to the State Department later Wednesday. The move escalates the panel’s conflict with Clinton and could complicate her expected run for president.

Because her foreign donors are unlikely to cooperate under your idea. Trading on treason is not about to be captured on a server that can be investigated by those pesky Republicans. Besides, those who received her emails on their government server are captured, but the subject matter is likely Chelsea, baby and fundraisers.

Hillary is bought. Her activity is money. She has no intention of betraying her foreign sources for obtaining money. She intended to be president. They intend for her to be president. They invested in her and her presidency.

In a recent video he did say he wanted to call her to testify.

My understanding was he wanted the documents to review them before Clinton testifies.

I appreciate your point but let me enlighten you about the machinery and ways of the federal government. I’ve worked as a consultant and am very familiar with how agencies operate — and protect themselves. IMO the committees are basically “looking for love in all the wrong places”. The information was always there, you just had to know where to look and how to go about it. The legal oriented people on the Hill think they can issue subpoenas and get what they want forthwith. Trust me, that’s just not reality.

Police detectives break cases because they approach things from many different angles. They put the pieces together as in a mosaic that eventually forms a picture. Of course the people that you’re looking at will try to keep you in the dark. That’s obvious. The thing is, you’ve got to find ways to start breaking down the individual links in the chain. Believe me, it can be done, especially in the federal environment where people put job security above all things. All you really need to understand is the personnel dynamics and the supporting infrastructure. In this regard, you’ll note that the INTERNAL IG at IRS recently found more emails in just a couple of weeks time. Yet the congress with all its resources couldn’t do this.

Congressional committees are not as thorough or as diligent as you would believe they are. But they should be. They are often more interested in political perceptions than relentless prosecution of wrongdoing.
