We drove all the way up to Akron for my chemo this morning, very early,
but after they sampled my blood, they sent me home. Apparently, my
platelets are only 25% of what they should be (no wonder my nose won’t
stop bleeding).
At least Bryan didn’t lose 3/4ths of his day at work this time. He made it
to work mid-morning, and we’ve been emailing about what to do about
the blood work. Sigh...
Anyway, I have another appointment in one week for my chemo.
Then my oncologist called me and requested that I get blood work done
at Quest Labs in Columbiana, and that they fax the results to her as we
did last time. Sigh... I’m getting tired of all these infusions of poisons.
But she will be able to let me know if I have enough platelets for them
to give me the drugs next Wednesday.
