I have always thought that the real purpose of Obama getting the Peace Prize was just to set in motion the movement to have a more socialistic government in the US. The Norwegians never really fought the NAZIs or supported the allied invasion. I remember the word/name Quisling.

I don't like leftist Norwegian attitudes. However, the Norse reacted violently to the German invasion. Forts at the mouth of the fjord leading to Oslo sank a German heavy cruiser. The Quisling movement never gained the support of more than a fraction of the population. Norse escaped in significant numbers to the UK and formed a significant part of the British Commando units. Read ‘We Die Alone’ and ‘Shetland Bus’ to get some idea of the persistent armed resistance underway against the German occupation forces. Finally the Norse have deployed their quite competent SOF in both Iraq and Afghanistan in actions against the Islamist terrorists.
