In today’s world, you are much better off going to a Vo-Tech schoole and learning a trade (i.e. Plumber, Electrician, Carpenter, Welder, Health Tech. etc)than getting some liberal arts degree like the writers POLITICAL SCIENCE. If you are going to pursue a degree, pursue one in Engineering or Computer Science (Degrees that translate into jobs).

The problem with that is these degrees require math and science classes not navel gazing poetry classes. Many kids going to school today don't want to put in that hard work. That's why we are going out and getting so many H1B visas to bring in foreigners in these fields. Not because they are being paid less money (they are not, eventually after a few years these people are paid as much), but because we have a lack of college degree professionals to do these jobs.
