“No, polls showed that 80%+ of Republicans opposed Obama’s action and more than half of all Americans oppose it.”

Those polls are irrelevant. Show me a poll where the majority of all Americans support shutting down all, or a part, of the government to fight Obama’s action.

You’re trying to make the argument that since the republican won on a platform of stopping Obama, they are justified in taking any and all actions. Just name me one Republican that campaigned on “elect me and I will stop Obama even if that means I have to shut down the government”.

Many campaigned on stopping Obama with the power of the purse, which is the only way Congress really has to stop a president. But Republican 'leaders' pre-emptively surrendered by declaring that off the table when they hid under their desks and said they would not shut the government down.

And you are buying into the leftist and MSM meme that if the government is shut down, it is obviously the fault of the Republicans. You need to pull yourself out of that silliness, along with many others including Boner and McConnell. The case has to be made, day-after-day as long as an issue under consideration.
