....When you care enough to send the very best.....
I Love It!!
YES! YES!
LOL
Yes, MM is Michelle Malkin. Love her, used to love HotAir, but not since they sold out to Towhhall.
She used to do great video exposés, at HotAir, in segments called Vent (I called them Rant, in previous post). Here’s a link to some of them, on utube:

I thought that was probably the case. If the Rino leadership had had any intention of fighting Obama on his illegal amnesty, they would have gotten the restrictive DHS funding through, sent it to Obama, and said that's all the funding he will get, veto or no veto.
Then they should have made the very easy case to the public of why his illegal amnesty should not be funded. But their actions were all a ruse carried out of several weeks, beginning when they adopted the pre-emptive surrender tactic of pledging no government shutdown.
“Then they should have made the very easy case to the public of why his illegal amnesty should not be funded.”
You’re making a very big mistake in assuming the aveage American is as conservative as yourself. Conservatives see things from their perspective and the average American sees them from a different perspective.
You think it would be a very easy case to make because you’re predisposed, as a conservative, to believe that. But, the average American sees the world differently. It won’t be an easy case to make because you wouldn’t be able to convince the average American to put up their smart phone and their twitter feed long enough to listen.
Remember this, each and every shutdown has been blamed on the Republicans. It is wishful thinking that this time will be different. The MSM will not allow it to be otherwise.
No, polls showed that 80%+ of Republicans opposed Obama’s acion and more than half of all Americans oppose it. And that when there has been NO educational effort on the part of anyone on the Republican side other than Jeff Sessions and occasionally a few others.
If ‘leadership’ had had any desire to defeat this, they’d have been holding press conferences and issing statements almost daily. It would have been one of the easiest selling jobs ever. It was all a ruse and they had no desire to stop the amnesty.
“No, polls showed that 80%+ of Republicans opposed Obamas action and more than half of all Americans oppose it.”
Those polls are irrelevant. Show me a poll where the majority of all Americans support shutting down all, or a part, of the government to fight Obama’s action.
You’re trying to make the argument that since the republican won on a platform of stopping Obama, they are justified in taking any and all actions. Just name me one Republican that campaigned on “elect me and I will stop Obama even if that means I have to shut down the government”.
Many campaigned on stopping Obama with the power of the purse, which is the only way Congress really has to stop a president. But Republican 'leaders' pre-emptively surrendered by declaring that off the table when they hid under their desks and said they would not shut the government down.
And you are buying into the leftist and MSM meme that if the government is shut down, it is obviously the fault of the Republicans. You need to pull yourself out of that silliness, along with many others including Boner and McConnell. The case has to be made, day-after-day as long as an issue under consideration.
“Many campaigned on stopping Obama with the power of the purse, which is the only way Congress really has to stop a president.”
There is only reason to state the case that way and that is to disguise exactly what they meant. How many explicitly stated that they would shut down the government to stop Obama?

And, you’re buying into wishful thinking. Saying: “The case has to be made,...” is not sufficient. How are you going to get the average American’s attention to make the case? What forum are you going to use to make the case? Do you really think the MSM will give you that time? If they do let a conservative on the news they’l make him sound like a nutcase.
As always, you miss the point. I have stated numerous times in this thread and others that the words (lies) and maneuvers of the Republican leaders were nothing but a ruse, and that they preemptively surrendered their only real power - the power of the purse - by stating they would never shut down the government.
But most of those campaigning to use the power of the purse likely meant it. A solid majority of Republicans voted to use that power, but Boner passed the sell-out legislation with 100% Dim support.
So, the fact that most Republican candidates campaigned to use the power of the purse, it does not indict them that their so-called leaders conducted a weeks long ruse and then sold everyone out.
You have simply surrendered totally to the MSM and lying Republican 'leadership' of the present. But with real leadership who intended to actually use their power in this amnesty overreach, the Republicans could have won this one.
Believe whatever you choose.
The End
