"Time to move onto a battle we can win and quit wasting time or energy tilting at windmills." Brave Sir Robin photo: Brave Sir Robin Brave_Brave_Sir_Robin.jpg "A battle we can win ... tilting at windmills" For the past six years, whenever the establishment GOP has had a chance to fight the Democrats, we've had "moderates" like yourself on this conservative site giving this same sage advice, verbatim, Sir Chicken of Uniparty: urging "discretion", arguing that we should move on the next dispute that Republicrats can flee, handing over to the (here, out-of-power) Democrats another win while you give the same craven recommendation that we concede.

First, you have no idea whether I am a ‘moderate’. One can be conservative without wanting to fight useless battles. There never was a chance of winning this battle and anyone who believed so has never read the Constitution. You know that part about requiring 2/3 vote to over ride a veto?

I share your concern about Obama’s executive actions and believe them to be unconstitutional as you do. My point has always been ‘what can we do about it’? What is a viable strategy that will get us a victory? Shutting down the government won’t win us a victory. So what is Plan B?
