I have been a solidly on the side of rebuilding the party, but at this point, I am beginning to think it will not matter anyway, we will be so far gone. I agree, I would rather lose fighting, than win with losers. Either way, we are going to wind up in the same place.
The problem is, there's so little of an actual opposition party to rebuild. A party whose "leaders" have a race to be first to lick Obama's boots isn't an opposition party at all; rather it's a slightly more moderate version of the party currently in power.
Personally, I have to learn to stop expecting anything substantive out of the GOP. Expectations that are rock-bottom will not be disappointed.
