House Speaker John Boehner (R., Ohio) announced that the House will vote on a clean Department of Homeland Security funding bill, which marks the conclusion of the Republican attempt to block funding for President Obama’s executive amnesty orders.
Boehner told the Republican conference that the bill will get a vote on Tuesday.
“He said Pelosi could [force a vote] but he hoped it would be done by a GOP appropriator,” a Republican congressman in the meeting tells National Review Online. The GOP lawmaker is referring to a little-known rule, known as Rule 22, that allows any House member to force a vote on a bill if the Senate refuses to create a conference committee.
Senate Democrats filibustered the creation of a conference committee on Monday evening, thwarting the process by which the House and Senate might have ironed out the differences between the DHS appropriations bills passed by the two chambers. The original House bill blocked funding for the implementation of Obama’s 2012 and 2014 executive orders on immigration.
The Senate bill did not block funding for the president’s amnesty.
In Tuesday morning’s conference meeting, House majority leader Kevin McCarthy (R., Calif.) reiterated his belief that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.) should have used the nuclear option to eliminate the filibuster in response to the Democratic votes to block debate on the House-passed DHS bill.

Obama’s executive amnesty will legitimize millions of illegals, give them SSNs, thousands of dollars in EITC payments each, and all the assistance necessary to get them registered to vote and to vote in 2016. The GOPe is committing willing national suicide and the GOP will be shut out of winning the Presidency for generations or forever, and they are apparently fine with that.

So the Republican House today, will make it known that in the opinion of the Republican majority, the House has NO business determining the spending priorities of the American taxpayer. They are telling obama that his budget, whatever he decides, will never again be said to be, “DOA” and will be taken up as a “clean budget.”
Fact is they are damned smart when it comes to the rules of the process. I hope that there are a few smart Tea Partiers cramming the rules everyday so we can take advantage of “loopholes”. It’s obvious we are going to get no help from “leadership”. We have to do it on our own.
I have a theory that the conspiracy is in the works for Dems and GOP-e to join together to marginalize the Tea Party, and run them out of town. Next up- GOP-e will be funding big name candidates against Tea Partiers in state primaries.
I do NOT want to hear any more bitching from those pussies about Obama “not loving America.”

I just called Congressman Brady’s office (R-TX) up in DC and they told me this bill today would not fund Obama’s executive amnesty because of the court injunction. Is that true?
Ditto. I expected the long knives from Obama. Boehner and McConnell got us in the back.
And so they'll dutifully insert the funding for the amnesty a nanosecond after the injunction is vacated, right?
