Well, he’s a liar, so...
How can you “bypass” the USA from Canada? Is it the same logic that comes up with fifty-seven states?
Somebody make an appointment with nobama and ask him if he cares what the WaPo has to say about him.
As long as he has a pen and a phone, he won’t give a rats ass.
Yep, yet again 0bama is playing with words being evasive, he wouldn’t come right out and say any of the refined product would be used here because everyone would know it’s a lie.
Ping.
No surprise there.
Obama will lie about the pipeline as long as Warren Buffett tells him too. It’s Buffett’s rail cars carrying that oil now and that’s the way Buffett wants it to stay.
And, Buffet is backing Cancles for the presidency.
This is where I came in...
He’s been lying ever since he said he was a “foreign student,”....or maybe not.
No doubt about it. I would wager 0bama has a huge offshore retirement account courtesy of Buffett.
create a little over 250, maybe 300 permanent jobs
The Alaskan Pipeline, a shorter pipeline moving less oil, employees about 1,000 direct employees and about the same amount of additional contractors.
Maybe he’s just not quite aware of where on the globe one would find Canada, perhaps even the US.
That is common on construction sites. Our plant had 2000 people working to build it. When done, only about 78 people manned it.
Same for a pipe line, same for an interstate highway, same for building your home. Once done, they are no longer needed and go on to the next project.
Those numbers are for operations, not construction. The pipeline was finished decades ago. That is the number the pipeline company employees today.
At the peak, there was about 30,000 people working on the Alaska Pipeline Construction.
In all, more than 70,000 individuals worked on TAPS construction. {Trans-Alaska Pipeline System}

Given that this company has more than one pipeline, some of the overhead of the Alaskan Pipeline would be spread across multiple pipelines (not new hires), that said, 250 to 300 is very much a lowball. I would expect direct contracts would employ more than that for just trimming trees and killing vegetation along the right of way.
