No surprise there.
So for those hopeful immigrants waiting in line and spending thousands of dollars on immigration attorneys, just cross the border already, pay your fine and get over it.
“granted a pathway to citizenship in exchange for paying a financial penalty.”
That’s not what he said. He didn’t say a financial penalty.
Scotty, sharpen your message and be consistent. You’re in the Big Leagues now. Don’t let this chance slip away so early in the game.
Sounds like Rove is holding out the BIG BUCKS for him, if he behaves properly.
The Daily Caller seems to be firmly in Jeb’s camp this cycle. They are piling on everyone else.
Walker sounds very good so far.
There is still a lot of time to decide, but he is definitely on my radar.
Top 5 contender.
I see what you did there, Weinstein. You took a quote from him before he changed his stance and then added your own supposition to the end of it.
WASHINGTON Republican Sen. Rand Paul said Tuesday that illegal immigrants should be
allowed to become U.S. taxpayers and ultimately get a shot at citizenship, a significant
step for the Tea Party favorite amid growing Republican acceptance of the idea.
"Let's start that conversation by acknowledging we aren't going to deport" the millions
already here, the potential 2016 presidential candidate told the U.S. Hispanic Chamber
of Commerce. "Prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing
these workers out of the shadows and into becoming and being taxpaying members of society."

All of the people in the gop pushing amnesty always say it is not amnesty.
If the illegal aliens dont return home and apply like everybody else who really IS an immigrant, then it is amnesty.
We either have the rule of law or we dont.
We must elect a President who WILL uphold the rule of law after this one who wont.
I hope hes not just saying this because he thinks he has to and then doesnt follow through.
I was disgusted to find out Bush actually decreased interior and border enforcement after 9/11.
To be fair to Walker, he said that he doesn’t support amnesty but that he does support legal immigration. My interpretation of that is that he sees extending the opportunity to apply by legal means for citizenship or work permit or any other classification as begin part of ‘legal’ immigration. And it is. If someone applies legally and gets accepted, then I’ll not argue.
Amnesty is not legal immigration. Conferring ‘legal status’ is not the same as following the legal process. A blanket proclamation that illegals now have ‘legal status’ is a type of amnesty.
The only legal status possible is by going through the application process and waiting period that traditional legal applicants must go through.
I believe Scott Walker is being hyped way beyond his actual vetting so far. Just because he busted the unions in WI does not mean he is capable of winning a general election or that his other stances such as immigration are palatable to conservatives. I want to see him in a couple of debates first. I also hope Trump jumps in just to keep everybody honest like Newt did in 2012 election.
Enlightened1 is a retread troll using a sleeper account, that has at least two vanity threads that he will not return to to face his provacations.
He is one of the Paul nuts who signed up for a dormant account, and then activated it about a year later.
Enlightened1 why wont you return to these vanity threads of yours where you were accusing long time freepers of being sleeper accounts?

An old adage in politics:
When a politician is flipping or “evolving” (as they now call it) in YOUR direction, never complain about it.
Converts are always welcome.
