**** “I know it cures heartburn! Use it all the time.” ****

Try Vinegar instead, before that remember to salt your food. You will be miles ahead.

Baking Soda can’t have any worse track record than Chemo

I told a friend who had incidents of severe heartburn about the vinegar remedy. I was immediately “poo-pooed”. A few months later, he called me at 3am in terrible pain...begging me to tell him what the remedy was again. He was in an RV parked somewhere in the boonies and didn’t have access to a pharmacy. Half asleep, I told him how much vinegar to use. The next day I called to check on him...and he said. “Man!! It worked really well but burned like h@ll going down”. I asked, “You didn’t dilute it with water?” Nooooooo. *chuckle*

Using vinegar seems really counterintuitive for heartburn since it’s acidic. But supposedly it works by causing your body to sense acidity in the stomach which triggers the sphincter at the bottom of the esophagus to close. I rarely get heartburn but have been curious to try it.

I agree with you, KC.

I had a young friend whose oncologists told her there was no hope. There was nothing they could do for her. So, she tried every alternative treatment she could find. Even though none of those alternative treatments worked for her, she did not regret trying them because they gave her HOPE. Hope is what keeps patients going. Who knows what might work?

OTOH, my dear father suffered and was refused all help, all hope. I wish he’d been given a “right to try.” It took months to find doctors willing to try something, but it was too late by then.

I never heard of “Right to Try” laws before now. A quick search produced some more information:

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/02/03/legislation-would-allow-right-to-try-experimental-drugs/22821457/

We all know that the FDA process holds up lifesaving medicines sometimes (if not all the time). If “Right to Try” laws give terminal patients greater access to promising medicines, that can’t be a bad thing.

By the way, best wishes to you, KC. I have a relative who’s been surviving the same disease for years, thanks to a miracle pill.

Well, it’s what I get for not Drinking, Smoking or doing Drugs. LOL

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I should know what the heck is going on in the next few weeks. I feel pretty good and I’ve been dealing with it for over nine years now and thought I was in my third remission.

After six months of Chemo last year I figured 2015 would be a breeze.

Someone is trying to get me to try Laetrile. Yeah, right!
A friend who works for a chemotherapist says she’s run into those saying Fritos cause cancer.

I believe that, and also keeping an alkaline balance. That’s what I’m relying on. Well, that and chemotherapy (grrrrrrr, hate it)

Have any evidence that it does not cure cancer?

Hell I like the burn! It’s like a shot of Tequila.

I actually take a shot of Vinegar prior to eating if I drink coffee before breakfast or if I have had a carbonated beverage before eating any meal... acid reflux or heartburn is always caused by low acidity in the stomach ... bring the acid up before or after the meal ... no more problemos (better before than after and remember to Salt to Taste)

Works every time... since I discovered this ... I have not had any Heartburn at all (YEARS) if I can’t find Vinegar I order a couple of sides of pickles, one for before and one for after and I can eat like a Billy Goat and Fart like my Dog Steve, (who will get blamed for all passed gas and gladly accept the attention)

TT

You can get your own Laetrile, just eat the seeds that come with your apples and pears... I have been doing that all my life. (Didn’t know it was Laetrile but my Grandpa taught me to eat apples and pears from the flower side (bottom) and end up with nothing but a stem. The bottom is the tastiest part.

Thank you very much. I appreciate your kind words and Prayers.

I should know a little more in the coming weeks. I feel pretty good, which is why I am hesitant to jump into more aggressive Treatment at the moment, if that makes any sense.

We’ll see what the Docs think and move on from there. Right now I have a more pressing issue, a water leak in the wall behind the Toilet. It never stops. LOL

Have a great day my FRiend. Keep smiling, life is wondrous.
