If the Supreme Court guts Obamacare, then the solution is obvious:

Republican Congress passes a bill that returns medical care to the private market, like it was. Send it to Obama to sign; if he refuses, it is all on him. Just like they can do with the Homeland Security bill.

*************
I find it difficult to share your optimism about this. The GOP congress can’t or won’t pass anything. I have no faith in them whatsoever. And they could care less about us.

“Republican Congress passes a bill that returns medical care to the private market”

The new bill must clearly define a satisfactory path that will take current Obamacare enrollees to the new plan.

The republican’s priority now should to win the next election.

They need to waddle along, say sweet nothings and don’t tell the whole truth in order to win over as many voters as they can.

If the ACA was to be overturned, why would there be a need to have a bill returning it to where it was? It will automatically be where it was.

“private market, like it was”

Prior to Obamacare, the taxpayer was paying 70% of healthcare bills. There has not been a private market since 1965.
