A top political nemesis of President Vladimir Putin was shot and killed early Saturday in central Moscow, Russian police said, one day before an opposition rally was scheduled to take place.
Boris Nemtsov, 55, a former deputy prime minister, was shot four times from a passing car as he was walking on a bridge just outside the Kremlin. Interior Ministry spokeswoman Yelena Alexeyeva told reporters on the scene that Nemtsov was walking with a female acquaintance, a Ukrainian citizen, when a vehicle drove up and unidentified assailants shot him dead. The woman wasn't hurt.

....”This guy was quite a ladies man. Maybe it was a jealous husband”....
More than quite...three wives though he never divorced the first one, all the others were live ins...and looks like this 23 year old was number 4!
Also understand that though no 4 claimed to be a model...she stopped doing so and the bit parts in movies to be with Memtsov.
Though if we look at how far Clinton went with all his escapades (from early on) it doesn’t seem to matter least of all in Russia or Ukraine where it’s standard behavior for young gals to attach themselves to “money” men.
I still think she had something to do with this....why was he walking without protection if he indeed was afraid Putin was going to take his life? Makes no sense at all...he wasn’t that stupid.
No surveillance camera's on the Bridge itself...it is outside the protected zone of the FSO.... On the tower is FSB camera, but just panorama.
They believe it to be 'unprofessional' as Shoot to K do not unload the clip...and at that close range do not miss...6 shots two missed.
They knew the time and the place so familiarity to set things up. So tracking the day and where camera's are abundant , as in the Dinning place...will prove interesting.
Especially interesting will be the phone calls between his girlfriend and Nemtsov.
Quite obvious no intention of hitting the girl with Nemtsov.
Then there's this:
Ukraine's Oleksiy Goncharenko (previously charged In Ukraine in Odessa massacre as one of the leaders... guilty of burning people), was detained in Moscow's grief rally... Wanted to march with Ukrainian's... The lawyer said that Goncharenko is charged with disobedience to the lawful demands of police......later released
BTW...over a million hits on that video
Yep. Thought so.. said before it isn’t unusual for them not to be attached to one partner only. Even if they’ve a kid. Certainly complicates things. Also read earlier Anna Duritskaya wanted to return to Ukraine but not allowed yet as they’re investigating.
She’s currently under house arrest in Moscow I understand
Who did it?
NOBODY will be able to murder right in front of the Kremlin and get away uncaught. Putin immediately came with a statement that this is ‘a provocation’. How does he know? In general you can only say any such things AFTER you have been well informed about what happened. So we see the same pattern as with all Kremlin-murders:
quickly come with statements about how to understand it
remove all evidence as soon as possible
NEVER reveal any evidence at all
let the media spin all kind of nonsense stories.
So the answer is: this was a well planned Kremlin murder. Who gave the order? How do I know, but at least Putin must have known about it. Nobody will be allowed to execute a murder like this so close to the Kremlin without Putin approving it.

Take a look at the pictures.
Thanks AdmSmith. There’s pre-Putin background about this practice in “The Commissar Vanishes”.
I’ve had my suspicions about the truck being involved somehow. It seems that anyone walking or even a camera on the bridge could have seen a man on the back of the truck or jump off the truck.
I think the fact that she wasn’t killed too (since she was a witness), goes to show that whoever did it wasn’t concerned about being identified & charged. IOW, had gov’t protection.
See post #244. Have you heard anything similar?
He’s a Ukranian. If they wanted to ‘get to him’ why not kill her?
I got them from conservative blogs on Live Journal. There is no point in using official Russian media for anything any more, unless you want to develop a disorienting feeling that you miss Los Angeles Times and Washington Post.
[In the latest Whodunnit saga] — “Russian Opposition: Putin Did NOT Assassinate Opposition Leader Boris Nemtsov” — “U.S. media is quick to blame Putin for the assassination of opposition leader Boris Nemtsov.
But Itina Khakamada a top ally of Nemtsov in the opposition said the killing was clearly not in Putins interest. Its aimed at rocking the situation.
Former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev says the the killing is aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country, at heightening confrontation with the West.
Gorbachev says:
The assassination of Boris Nemtsov is an attempt to complicate the situation in the country, even to destabilize it by ratcheting up tensions between the government and the opposition.
Even the U.S. governments Voice of America states in an article entitled Could Nemtsov Threaten Putin in Death as in Life? that Putin loses much more than he gains by the assassination:
With the murder of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, gunned down on a Moscow street, the fiercest critic of President Vladimir Putin has been removed from the political stage. But it remains to be seen whether, in death as in life, Nemtsov will remain a threat to Putins rule.
Already, city authorities have approved a mass march for up to 50,000 people in central Moscow on Sunday. The march, expected to be far larger than the scheduled protest rally it replaces, will provide a powerful platform for Kremlin critics who suspect a government hand in Nemtsovs death.
Even officials in Putins government seem to sense the danger that the former first deputy prime ministers martyrdom might pose, hinting darkly that Friday nights drive-by shooting may have been an deliberate provocation ahead of the planned weekend rally.” — http://www.globalresearch.ca/russian-opposition-putin-did-not-assassinate-opposition-leader-boris-nemtsov/5434298
I’ve noticed the Putin fanboys tend to have registered on FR in two waves: 1998-1999 and 2007-2008.
In both cases they registered around the time of a Presidential election where there wasn’t an incumbent.
I imagine we’ll see a similar wave registering this year and next and they’ll be promoting whoever the Democrat and media approved RINO candidate is.
That's when Kosovo was going on, and it stands to reason many who opposed that, would also be leery of being hawkish on Russia.
It's already happening.
Political assassinations in Russia are usually done in secret.
