If Hannens decision on Obamas amnesty is upheld, wouldnt the actions by the FCC be illegal on the same grounds?I am not into lawyer stuff, so I don't don't know. What I will say, is that Obama has done many illegal things, and not one gutless pubbie has ever lifted a finger to stop him. Why would they start now? I wish we lived in a sane world, but we don't. If the POS, MOFO, scum sucking Siberian snow pimps in Obama world succeed, well, it was nice knowing all of you, but FR will be a thing of the past. I have no doubt that is what they want. I hope they fail miserably, but time will tell.

They have. The commies infiltrated the Democrap party, then the government and now the GOP. Joe McCarthy was right all along. Basically what we got today is a bunch of traitors, enemies of the United States running the country. The people are alone, nobody reps the people anymore except a very small few, and this will go either 2 ways: We eventually get to full blown tyranny or we rebel. And if the people rebel, the very LAST thing I would want to be is a politician, so this Congres may want to seriously reconsider about pushing this tyranny crap any further because they have to understand: The majority of cops and the military do not stand by them and I doubt a few bodyguards will be able to hold back a couple million or so really pissed off citizens..

I’m not sure they care all that much about Free Republic. Its readership is minute compared with Fox or even Townhall. They can and almost certainly will let Free Republic rant along, for the libbies it’s a conservative energy absorber.

I was wondering how they were going to stop conservatives so the Democrat/Communist Party go go full bore forward with lies and treachery to win the Presidency and Congress and thus go totalitarian afterward and now I see their plan. I see your point, but I wonder how that affects the Internet in every other country in the world? Maybe they will, as you say, shut down all conservative sites, in America, and do like most communist countries do, simply not allow anything "conservative," from other countries to be seen in America. You know, the rats always accuse us of being haters. For the most part, they are right. I despise those slime sucking POS MOFOs.

I’m tending to think they will let FR rant right along. For one thing it is a splendid circular firing squad.

When the rats, and many pubbies with them, try to do something stupid like this, I always automatically assume their intentions are evil, until proven otherwise. I know, that is cynical, but usually true too.

If FR ever got in the middle of some sort of activism, then the serious trouble would come. The activism category of FR, isn’t. When was the last time even a poll was freeped, let alone something like this FCC coup?

From what I heard on Chris Plante’s show this morning, the FCC usually does not release rules until they implement them, unless they’re controversial. However, most pro-liberty people would consider #ObamaNet as something controversial, I assume.
ObamaNet Nanny State PING!

They’ve just called the internet something akin to 30s phone service. How that could fail to be controversial is beyond me.

This is something like my “rule of law”: which is, the name of any given bill in Congress or law gives clues to the intent/effect of the bill/law, which is exactly and precisely the opposite of what the name implies.
Examples:
Patriot Act
Affordable Health Care Act
Homeland Security Act
Any “Reform” bill/law
Any “Safety” bill/law

FR is too small/private to matter.
As for the others, maybe the FCC will outlaw ads about 4 weird things never to eat, that will defund the other conservative sites.
