After the 60’s “sexual revolution” there were lots of things that came out into the open. Toledo had several “gay” bars in the early 70’s.

There have been gay clubs around forever, thet were hidden and exclusive.

I wasn’t even 10 years old in 1979....but I do remember the “The Blue Oyster” bar in Police Academy!! That was 1984.

I’ve no doubt that after the ‘60s there were plenty of gay bars.
