To: Repeal The 17th

I am old enough to remember “white” and “colored” water fountains,
and the restaurants that had two entrances,
and the separate schools for whites and blacks.

I don’t. I must be younger... and would like the benefit of your experience.

What is the latest year where your above was in force? and did location in the USA make a difference?

That was rural middle Georgia in the mid 1960’s.
Folks just seemed to get along better back then.
My mama (still living) will be 95 in June.
She still uses the term “colored”.
