Well, if the French soldiers would start killing the bastards that are attacking them perhaps the attacks would cease. Of course muslims would simply cry that they are being targeted and the world will call upon the French to kiss their asses. The French government knows that if they shoot the bastards, it may trigger an "intifada" in France. So they play the game that most politicians play: "let's see if we can stall the inevitable til after the next election".

And therein lies the problem. If there were a rattlesnake nest under my porch I wouldn’t stall. I’d route it out and destroy it.
