I’m going to take this opportunity to try and explain something that few people comprehend. The President of the United States is not empowered by the Constitution to rule people inhabiting the 50 States in any sense. He is President of the geographic jurisdiction allowed by the Constitution, and the institutions lawfully created by the Constitution. When the country is at war his powers expand to allow for defense of the homeland, BUT... his affiliation with the citizens of the various States is ALMOST NIL. Of course in a practical sense this is not true, but only because we have lost the basic understanding of a free republic.
