Finland declared it's independence from Russia in 1918. The Russians got worked up over that and in the winter of 1939/40 invaded Finland and did pretty badly. The Finns ran circles around the Russkies until the Russian Bear did what it does best-- massive firepower and that ended the war. The Finns under Mannerheim sided with the Nazis during the war against the Russkies. There's no love loss between the two, that's for sure. This whole thing is very slowly starting to spiral out of control. I can't believe Putin can be this reckless and stupid.
