If I might ask, why should the taxpayers have to pay for caging the perp for his un-natural life?

Killing such perps is vastly cheaper than prison, IIRC.

Screw that. The total cost to taxpayers for that is far beyond reasonable.

A better solution...75¢ to taxpayers.
