"The result forces an April 7 runoff where he is still expected to win handily"How do they figure that? when a majority already voted for someone else?

Does this mean the collective IQ of voters in Chicago may need to be re-evaluated for a positive trend? Could they breach the double digit barrier?
Stay tuned.

> his standing was weakened in black neighborhoods. Residents there said the 2013 closing of 50 public schools and persistent violent crime supported their complaint of two Chicagos.
A buddy of mine was telling me how he was talking smack about blacks in one on one conversations with firefighters. Stuff like that gets around - which is probably exactly what Rhambo wanted.

The disappeared: Chicago police detain Americans at abuse-laden 'black site'
(Excerpt)
... Police often have off-site facilities to have private conversations with their informants. But a retired Washington DC homicide detective, James Trainum, could not think of another circumstance nationwide where police held people incommunicado for extended periods.
Ive never known any kind of organized, secret place where they go and just hold somebody before booking for hours and hours and hours. That scares the hell out of me that that even exists or might exist, said Trainum, who now studies national policing issues, to include interrogations, for the Innocence Project and the Constitution Project.
Regardless of departmental regulations, police frequently deny or elide access to lawyers even at regular police precincts, said Solowiej of First Defense Legal Aid. But she said the outright denial was exacerbated at Chicagos secretive interrogation and holding facility: Its very, very rare for anyone to experience their constitutional rights in Chicago police custody, and even more so at Homan Square, Solowiej said.

Rahmmy, how could you possibly thumb your
nose at the cemetery voters? That constituency
has won national elections for you and now you
totally ignore them. That stinks! Richard Daily is
rolling over in his grave and he didn’t even vote
for you this time.

OK so the runoff is a Jewish guy vs a guy named Jesus.
Should be some fun campaign signs.
