while some have blamed the drop on a lack of nominations for films with mass appeal.

Birdman was the best they could do? And a film called Boyhood which I never heard of? The Imitation game was a history piece with Gay overtones. And this was the best Hollywood could come up with?

Why wasn't there a popular film like in the Harry Potter series? Why wasn't there a Downton Abbey like film (currently a runaway show)?

Whoops, I forgot. They don't want popularity and to make gobs of money.

In are folks with raunchy morals and those who haven't any character worth mentioning.

Thanks Hollywood, I'll wait till your films come out for free on Youtube or avoid them altogether.

The Imitation Game was about possibly the most important individual in the victory by the Allies, and the horrific way the British government treated him afterwards because he was a homosexual.

My top 3 of the year were Selma, Art and Craft, and Ida. Imitation Game placed 4th.
