One pill. I lost my son over one pill.
On the first Saturday in January this year, my son arrived at the Allegheny County Jail in Pennsylvania. On Monday not long after midnight he was declared dead by Mercy Hospital. If the guards and the Corizon staff (a for-profit correctional healthcare company) at the hospital had been willing to provide him with the medicine that he needed to stay alive, he would not have died.
You see, my son had seizures. The last major seizure he had was so bad that he bit off a piece of his own tongue. It scared him, and he took his medicine religiously, twice a day. He knew when a seizure was coming, and it took a few hours for it to come on. So when he was locked up, the Corizon staff listed the medications he needed to take, and when he needed to take them, on the intake form provided to jail authorities.

It's going to bite you, too. Political imprisonment and roundups are coming. And the lawyer you cited downthread will be locked up right with you, or hopelessly impotent.
You are hopelessly ignorant.
Reasons For A Warrant:
Failure to appear on your court date
Unpaid traffic tickets
Suspected of being involved in a misdemeanor crime
Suspected of being involved in a crime
I do know of one person who was arrested for having more than $10,000 of unpaid parking tickets, but he was not held - just booked and released.
You've never been to Georgia (and probably, FL AL MS TX OK SC, too). In Georgia, they will cuff you, search you, bring you to jail, and you will cool your heels until the judge gets around to seeing you. Your car will be impounded, and the towing places are notorious for personal-item theft. Don't expect to see your laptop computer again. I know several people that this has happened to.
Do NOT call me a liar.
My mother got a ticket while she was moving. It’s assumed that notices were sent to her old address and she never received them. The ticket was issued during a time of chaos and she simply forgot about it.
Two years later, she was pulled over for a broken headlight and they found that there was a warrant for her arrest. She was cuffed and jailed.
This woman is religious. She never drinks. She’s never had a speeding ticket. She’s never done drugs. She simply forgot a parking ticket.
For that, she went to jail. Later, at her court appearance, the judge threw it out for ‘time served’.
As for the other matter, how did I find out? I read the freaking article, read the comments, and used this invention called ‘google’.
I knew a 17 year old who was arrested for having a pack of cigarettes in his car in Texas. Wanna call me a liar for that, too? He was a soldier.
The US incarcerates more people per capita than ANY other nation on earth. More than China. More than Cuba. People have been arrested for videotaping the police, for not paying their debts, for not paying child support.
This is evil.
Unless, of course, you are an illegal.
We put ourselves in the positions we find ourselves in....just sayin
