I agree you have a very strong case.
The way we can counter it is to get on the phone or the internet and start yelling .. and don’t stop.
The one issue I’m not upset about the McConnell will not STOP THE FILIBUSTER .. but all the time the DEMS were in charge, they constantly KEPT THE REPUBS FROM BEING ABLE TO USE THE FILIBUSTER. Making me mad as hell. And .. this is exactly why I didn’t want McConnell re-elected. He’s tooooo friendly with the DEMS and he will always consider them .. when THE DEMS NEVER CONSIDERED THE REPUBS.
So, I will be busy sending emails and making calls yelling about this issue .. and remember this ..... it worked with Boehner .. and the GOPe stopped the rage against the Tea Party.
Been doing exactly that for well over 20 years. The party will not be changed from within. That, my FRiend, is a losing battle.

It did? I didn't realize he's not Speaker anymore. I also didn't realize Sessions was back in as Chairman of the Budget Committee and the rest of the targeted Tea Party types are now back in charge. Seems to me it DIDN'T work with Boner.
No, I'm done holding my nose to vote for the GOP. All that has done is pushed the party further to the left. I'm done with the GOP. A shame, for sure, seeing as how I've always talked about being a Republican since I was 8 years old and knocking on doors for local candidates with my Grandfather.
