It seems to be a popular move among squishes seeking to stay in good standing with their liberal Democrat friends.
I could have guessed that, I’ve known Hewitt was a squish for years.
If they had to say something, the best thing to say would have been something like “Rudy is entitled to his opinion” or something equally non-committal.
The fact is Rudy was right and The Ministry Of Propaganda is having a hissy fit and trying to get other GOP to condemn what he said. By doing so they are playing into their hands.
