What Pence said has NOTHING to do with the headline.

Pence is NOT "defeding" Obama.

Pence: I don’t think it helps to question the president’s patriotism or motives,

NOWHERE does Pence say what the president's patriotism or motives are, only that it is pointless to question them, perhaps because it cannot help the country, as we're stuck with him without a working coalition to impeach him. That is NOT defending him. As a counter-example, Pence could have just as easily said that he didn't think it would help to question the motives of the road rage atheist who kiklled those Muslims. Whether he did it out of regular anger, or anger at Muslims, they are just as dead, and it will be harder to prove at trial.

Let's not let drooling leftists control our perception of decent guys like Pence with bad headline writing.
