I found a guys phone on a beach one time and was able to get it back to him. Fortunately it was not locked and it had a charge. I called one of his contacts and said “hi, this is going to sound stupid, but do you know who I am? I mean, do you have caller id?” We got a good laugh and we’re able to meet with the young man within the hour.
