My instructor at the time drove us down 15 to the border, we headed off I think to the east. You could see the fence where we turned.

There was a 300’ launch close to the border before we drove up to the mountain launch. Second flight was to the west, clear the souther ridge and south to the same landing zone.

Now that you mention it I’m going to google earth it...

I just recall that Brown Field was a municipal airport out there.

I used to live on Otay Mesa.
