It is an obvious extension of marriage. There is no reason to grant homosexual marriage and deny polygamy, polyandry or anything else. End goal is marriage = anything & nothing. It will be interesting though to see how insurance companies price health care for an employee with seven spouses and 27 children.

You give them too much credit. They know exactly what they are doing.
Those poor, poor, children growing up in that unnatural environment.
How can those legislators who made this abomination possible live with their conscience.

You’re right. But liberals don’t care and there are only two conservatives, maybe three on the US Deranged Court that will vote against this nonsense and that will be Scalia and Thomas. Maybe Alito. The ruling will be either 7-2 in favor of the destruction of marriage or 6-3. Roberts (for obvious reasons) and Kennedy will vote with their liberal robed tyrants.
It will be declared illegal to charge protected groups much, if anything, for their greater needs.

Well, and it challenges a judge on divorces.
Let’s say Earl marries three women (Wanda, Karla, and Anne). Anne announces in year three that she wants a divorce. Because of the split...at best, all Anne can ask for is twenty-five percent of the property. But let’s say that only Earl and Anne worked. Would both Wanda and Karla get alimony from Anne? And let’s say that both Wanda and Karla have two kids each, with Earl and Anne as the bread-winners....could Anne be forced to pay child-support for the four kids?
The winner in all of this...are lawyers. You will need $5,000 minimum to get out of some simple four-person marriage, and it might go up to $10,000 for fees. Frankly, it’s a big mess legally I see coming.
As soon as society tolerates a behavior that was once forbidden, these individuals will simply look for other ways to push the envelope in order to shock us. It's the natural result of defining deviancy down.
The more we tolerate, the more outrageous the behavior.
Bigamy is mild stuff compared to what will come.
Soon we will have groups of naked people wrapping themselves up in chains and going out in public with various sex toys protruding from their body cavities. We will have to tolerate them or be called bigots and haters. We will have to make special accommodations for them. Restaurants will have to make their doors wider so that a group of chained perverts can easily get in and out. We will have to construct special bathrooms for them in public spaces.
Then there will be yet a lower level we will need to descend to - all in the name of tolerance.
One Husband, one Wife, and one Significant-Other-in-Union.
That is the trouble with perversions. Once you allow one perversion to bedome “normal” then evry other perversion starts the drive for the same thing.
