I had gone to see the re-scored version of Disney’s “Fantasia” on Thanksgiving Day, and the short subject to begin the show was the premiere of “Thriller”. That decision was absolute madness on the part of the distributor. The theater was full of families with small children, and as soon as Michael Jackson made his metamorphosis, the kids all screamed in terror. It was bedlam.
This was one of the great videos of the era, with Michael Jackson strutting his stuff.
