No, it is not. It is one of the slimmest pistols there is. You have obviously never held one
I have small hands and the 1911 fits perfectly. Much better than most 9's for me.
I have about average to maybe large hands. There are only two designs which so far fit my hands perfectly. One is the CZ models which have the slide and frame rails reversed. The other is the Browning Hi-Power which seems to fit everyone.
A lot of pistols feel fairly good including many of the Glocks, also the Sig Sauer P226 types.
The worst feeling auto I recall is the Ruger P-89. I liked it so well and wanted one but just felt horrible in my hand.
