Yep..LBJ only wanted votes, damn the consequences! Along with Teddy Kennedy. This was at the height of the civil rights movement. The Dems wanted America to look like the rest of the world demographically. At the time, non-Hispanic whites were 89% of the population compared to 63% today and according to the Census Bureau, 43% by 2060. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities as defined by the USG. 87% of the 1.1 million legal permanent immigrants who enter annually are minorities. Immigrants and minorities vote more than two to one Dem. Demography is destiny.
