Michelle Obama, wife of U.S. President Barack Obama, plans to make her first visit to Japan as first lady in mid-March, mostly for private purposes, sources familiar with bilateral relations said Sunday.
Michelle Obama plans to take part in a Tokyo symposium to be also attended by U.S. Ambassador to Japan Caroline Kennedy, along with other events. She is also considering visiting Kyoto, Japan's ancient capital, the sources said.
The U.S. president visited Japan in April last year as a state guest but Michelle Obama did not accompany him due to school programs for their daughters Malia and Sasha. The daughters may travel to Japan with their mother this time, the sources said.
Michelle Obama is likely to meet with Akie Abe, wife of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, among others during her stay in Japan, but her visit will "have no particular political purposes," one of the sources said.
Michelle Obama may also visit Southeast Asian countries on the trip, they said.
Michelle Obama, a lawyer, has engaged in various activities including delivering lectures on education and human rights as well as women's empowerment.
Watch your taxpayer dollars further fly out the window as Michelle navigates the world with her large entourage flying v-shaped behind her, like a flock of vultures, feeding off the public trough. I loathe this administration, spending our tax dollars in a million ways and enjoying every minute of it.
P.S., this is only the beginning of the end. Michelle and/or Barak will be travelling as much as possible in these last two years, getting their taxpayer funded digs in before they will finally be out of the WH in order to join the giving speeches for thousands of dollars circuit.
Or set up a phony “charity” foundation, and I use that word loosely, like the Clinton’s have, using that foundation in order to continue to globetrot on someone else’s money, barely contributing to any charities at all, and funnelling that money into their own coffers, while receiving huge most likely illegal contributions from foreign entities as has been the norm with their foundation. Nice gig, huh?

they both love to spend other peoples money and they do it so well...She is not an elected official and as for being a Lawyer, just how long did she practice and work as a Lawyer before being disbarred? we need an answer to that...
