Never thought I’d hear a Congressman say this. America has reached a turning point and it’s anyone’s game.

I don’t agree with most of his positions, but I agree on this one.

WE don’t need to secede - Washington DC has already seceded. They’ve tossed out the Constitution and rule of law. We need to encourage them to go. Not us Constitutionalist Americans.

I subscribe to Reason magazine every so often when they offer it for next to nothing. So it arrives, I try to read it but ... it goes unread. Then I let it expire and the cycle goes on-and-on ... As odd as they are, at least the Liberaltarians are just one party and not a schizophrenic Jekyll & Hyde Republicrat two-faced creature. In any event, it's certainly an odd world when Paul Sr. seems to be making sense. Maybe conservatives' short-term destiny is to throw our lot in with those old hippies? Good night nurse.

God, I hope so. The Federal Government is out of control and has yanked so much of our freedom away that America is like a ghost of a Constitution we once relied on. Even the Supreme Court doesn't measure anything based on the Constitution. Congress it totally useless. And most branches of the Administration are more communists like than ever before.

Others have said that the world will look very different in maybe a decade or few, with vastly different borders, nations, currencies, alliances, you name it, here, there and everywhere.
In the past, I heard such things and used to laugh and ignore them, but now those ideas seem to be somewhere between possible and likely.
I glanced out my window and what did I see? "Fundamental transformation" meets "coming apart at the seams" sung to the smell of the New World Odor.

But we live in the age of forced busing and gay marriages, not the right to divorce from the Federal.

I have been posting this theory for a year or more. Ron Paul is right. As things continue to devolve and they will the states will go their own way. Just wait til the SCOTUS upholds gay marriage. The South is the bible belt and conservative. We don’t want it and at some point will probably just refuse it.
We just got back from our US Rep’s townhall. Our Dist is the most conservative in the state of GA. The guy gave us no indication that the GOP have any type of plan whatsoever to lead us forward or take back the constitutional republic. It appears they are in total disarray. We are increasingly going to be on our own.

"The contest is not over, the strife is not ended. It has only entered upon a new and enlarged arena, and the principle for which we contend is bound to reassert itself, though it may be at another time and in another form." - Jefferson Davis, speaking before the Mississippi Legislature in 1871
Is it time? And in what form?

Ron Paul took an oath many times to support and defend the Constitution of the UNITED States, a document whose first stated purpose is “to form a more perfect union.”
I guess he missed that part.
