The Shia Sunni divide is immaterial so long as Islam is fighting a bigger enemy. Iran supports Sunni Moslems everywhere that Sunnis are fighting against secular rulers or infidels and bombs Sunnis when they are too close to Iranian borders. Sunni Obama replaces the American supporting Yemeni rulers with Islamist Shias. Punishing the Shias for not being Sunni can come later and is not at the moment importand because Sunnis outnumber Shias overwhelmingly.

Certainly is immaterial to those who are willing to go after the so-called “Great Satan”. Obama, of course, is up there helping one hand of the enemy while (allegedly) putting down the other hand.
