I was stationed at the U S Embassy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the early 1980s. I also was TDY in other Moslem countries, as did my contemporaries in the military and the diplomatic service. We were exposed to Islam and got a pretty good feel for it. But we were a miniscule part of the population. Then came the Gulf War where thousands of soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines were exposed to Islam and upon returning to the ZI, spread the word. We’ve been at war full time with Moslems for 12 years now, and even more thousands of troops have rotate and spread the word even more widely. The word is out about Islam, Mr. President.
